This is Not Boring.

Okay. I’ll admit: the bottom of this post COULD be boring. But I’m going to try to spice it up a bit and tomorrow (even though it’s not in my schedule but hey, I’m a risk-taker) I’m going to share a story about how I’m doing with all of this.
This post is specifically for those who are supporting me financially, or are thinking about it, so that you know what your money is doing.
First: I’ll explain the different sections: INCOME means what I make outside of fundraising. Ideally, I’d like this to be zero. Because ideally, I’d like to work just one job (plus school, that’s a valid occupation too).  Currently I make $200/month (more like $400 right now because I don’t reject ANY job I’m offered) from babysitting, $150 from selling my plasma to the plasmapires (plasma vampires) $50 from tutoring or proctoring (a well that will soon dry up, since I simply haven’t the time or energy to teach a class, thus keeping me from getting more students) and I’m HOPING that to throw some big once-a-month babysitting gigs (with friends helping out for free!) to put in some extra cash (currently the lofty goal for that is $200- but I know a LOT of people with kids).
completely non related pic w a puppy - a peace offering for all the numbers
So that means I bring in, on my own, just $400 – $600 a month.  Who knew you could hustle so hard to bring in so little? My momma, that’s who knew.
Of course, God is good and working that much means most of the line items here are much higher than what I currently spend. For example, I don’t spend much on groceries and eat dinner wherever I babysit (or am invited for dinner).  I work so often so I don’t spend money going out at ALL.   And I just can’t afford it, so I don’t have medical insurance or any savings. Pssah. Are those things good and wise? yes. Am I in a season to have them right now? no.
Oh, and I DONT PAY RENT!!! Cause ASI furnished and paid for apartments for all the fundraising interns who elected to take them.  So boom sucka!
Now, expenses:
I basically aim to make enough to spend
$136 (plus tithe) on giving. ($76/month taken care of already on my two compassion kids)
$100 for emergencies/saving (this is honestly in here for the sole reason that my boss made me)
$0 on debt. What I’m incurring now won’t get paid off till after I graduate.
$100 on electric/water/internet/cable/phone (uh-maz-ing) since we split stuff 6 ways
$270 on car stuff (including insurance. Hello 25th-bday-discount.)
$100 on the cheapest, most “for emergencies” health insurance I can possibly find.
$350 on household/ personal. Mostly because GlutenFree/Lactose Free foods are EXPENSIVE and I love to get people gifts
$100 for entertainment
and NOTHING for misc. Hoping when stuff comes up I can just carve it out of other places.
$1080 total.  Except what I really spend right now is about $550. (not including school) Because I scrape by.
I come home from workand crash in my (ASI provided) bed! So comfy!
BUT
but but but but but-  I will start receiving support soon!! (I haven’t gotten an ASI paycheck since mid June so anything you sent in before then for monthly stuff got banked and will be evenly distributed throughout the year). And God willing, that will be enough for me to eat food that isn’t going to make me sick, and get insurance in case something else does.
But my prayer, and the point of telling you all this, is that I will get enough financial support that I can work JUST at the stone, fully supported through fundraising, and still be able to go t a movie every once in a while, or give to a charity when asked.
So here’s the boring-er ( 😉 ) or more chart-ish (i’m SO scientific) way to say all that:
